What follows are short profiles on some of the Allandale Neighborhood Association's Executive Committee (EC) members. These are volunteers from the neighborhood. Members of the Executive Committee include the four officers: president (Donna Beth McCormick), vice-president (Peggy Jo Maceo), secretary (Mary Jean Matus), treasurer (Diane Swinney) and seven other members of the Allandale Neighborhood Association.
How long have you been in Austin?
I have been here since 1968 when I came to attend UT.
What made you decide to join the ANA Executive Committee?
I would like to see all the aspects that make Allandale a great neighborhood preserved. I would like to make a difference.

How long have you been in Austin? I am a 4th generation Austinite. I moved to Allandale in 1951 when I was 2 years old, left the neighborhood for about 20 years, and moved back in 1991 to the same street where I grew up.
What made you decide to join the ANA Executive Committee?
As a CPA, I was asked by the Nominating Committee to join the Executive Committee to give Joe Reynolds a break as treasurer. I've been wanting to get involved in ANA, and now seemed the perfect time.

I was asked and thought I had some skills that might help. Felt we needed to keep development in check and maintain the integrity of the neighborhood.

Q - How long have you been in Austin? How long in Allandale?
A - I have lived in Austin and Allandale for 6 years.
Q - What made you decide to join the ANA Executive Committee?
A - I was already serving as the representative to Austin Neighborhoods Council and felt I could do a better job representing the neighborhood if I joined the EC.
Q - Have you been involved with the neighborhood association in the past and in what capacity?
A - I worked on the fund-raising committee that put on a party in the park and the Halloween Masked Ball. For the Fourth of July Parade, I was a float judge. I have been active in many zoning cases and have spent many evenings at City Hall over the years.
