The 2nd Annual Celebrate Allandale picnic has come and gone. Once again it was a great day in the park with friends and neighbors. The entertainment was outstanding - the McCallum Steel Band was incredible and Belville Outfit is the band to catch now before they become big stars drawing big crowds. Celebrate Allandale had it all: good food, happy children, and the perfect mix of weather, setting, and events that made for a delightful Sunday afternoon in the park. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED PUT IT TOGETHER! A special thanks to Mary Jean Matus who did a superb job of orchestrating and working the event and to Joe Reynolds for his work before, during, and when it was all over. A number of volunteers contributed to the event. It was truly a community event. Celebrate Allandale shows off Allandale and what a great neighborhood it is.
