Grow Green for Blue Water? Grow Green, a City of Austin Watershed Protection & Development Review Department program, provides landscaping information designed for Central Texans. It emphasizes earth-wise solutions with an emphasis on water quality. Come learn about helpful resources on ways to deal with landscape management issues using the least-toxic solutions.
Our water stays blue by growing green. Bring your landscape and lawn care questions! Denise Delaney, the Grow Green Coordinator, has 23 years of gardening experience in Central Texas. She was the Director of Horticulture at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, was involved with the design, installation and management of the existing facility which opened in March of 1995. Other experience includes working for landscape contracting companies, on private estates, a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, in retail nurseries and for the University of Texas – Austin.
