Here are the unofficial election results for the presidential election from the three precincts in Allandale: Precinct 236 (Rosedale School), Precinct 239 (Gullett Elementary), and Precinct 243 (Ben Hur Shrine). These were pulled from the Travis County County Clerk's web site: http://www.co.travis.tx.us/county_clerk/election/20081104/results.asp.
Voters in the area also voted overwhelmingly (76%) for Proposition 1, the appointment of a city auditor by the city council. We were more divided on Proposition 2, the Domain proposition prohibiting the city from providing financial incentives for developments that include retail - 54 percent voted against it.
Wow, very sad.
