Thursday's Austin American-Statesman had an article about the City's Wildlife Habitat program using Allandale's, Trish Roberts-Miller's as an example of someone who has successfully set up a habitat in her backyard. The article, "City program aims to restore wildlife habitat to suburban spaces," by Sarah Coppola,  shows a number of great photos from their habitat including one of her husband, Jim, working their compost pile.
