Neighbors,
In light of recent events - suspicious individuals on Shoal Creek today, a break-in on Bullard Saturday night, the incident on Woodview, we need to focus on making our neighborhood as watchful as possible. If you see any unusual activity please call the police - 911 if you want an officer to come out. It is also very important to alert your neighbors either by e-mailing them yourself or contacting your block captain so he/she can do it.
There are many blocks and even whole streets in Allandale that do not have block captains. I will be doing a block captain training at my house (6307 Wilbur Dr.) on Sunday, February 22nd, at 4:30pm. Please let me know if you are interested in this quick training or if you would like to set up a time that is better for you. The job of a block captain is to create a contact list for neighbors, get people together for a block meeting, and then report any suspicious activity. It is a small time commitment but can be key in fostering communication and a safe environment in Allandale.
Thank you,
Laura DiCarlo
