Official hours are 9 am - 1 PM, at Northwest Park but the work will probably be finished by 11:30 am.
The Austin Parks Foundation is generously providing the irrigation for these trees, to the tune of $8,000.
Please show up, and help spread the word. The more neighbors we can have at the event.. the better. We need to show the city that our neighborhood supports tree plantings and improvements.
Frankly, I am tired of the city telling me that “Allandale doesn’t respond” or “Allandale doesn’t Care.” So please… help me get out as many people as possible to demonstrate our support, and to show our appreciation to the Austin Parks Foundation for their generosity.
It will be a family friendly event. The irrigation will already be installed, and all the holes will be pre-dug, so the work will be fairly easy.
