I'm THRILLED that we are considering a bike path under the bridge at 2222 and Shoal Creek.

There is a proposal that appears to indicate a bike path, walking trail or parking in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery's northeast and east boundary. There is no need for this encroachment into the cemetery since the current unofficial path to Northland (2222) is east of Shoal Creek. In fact the cemetery actually goes to the middle of Shoal Creek so there is no room for a path west of the creek. AustinRAMP, an organization since 1991, opposes any encroachment into the cemetery and in fact supported and the City Council passed in law an ordinance in March 2009 prohibiting any such encroachment. Bottom line is that there will be no path through the cemetery.
